5 "Pawsome" Things to Do with Your Dog in Orlando

We know your dog is like your family. Why not bring them along on your next family vacation?

Orlando is a dog-loving city with plenty to do alongside your pooch. And, with National Mutt Day coming up on Dec. 2, there’s no better time to celebrate your pup!

Here are five of our favorite dog-friendly places in Orlando to visit with our dogs.

Lake Baldwin Park

Lake Baldwin is a picturesque lake surrounded by a clean, paved 2.5 -mile trail. The trail itself is perfect for walking, running, biking, and of course, walking your dog.

Along the trail, you’ll find Lake Baldwin Park, a fenced-in 23-acre expanse where dogs are welcome to roam off-leash. This popular dog-friendly attraction is a favorite of locals, though people drive from across the city to bring their dog to this awesome spot.

One of the biggest draws of the park is the sandy beach that leads into the lake, perfect for doggy paddling. When you’re ready to leave, there are dog showers by the main entrance where you can wash the sand and dirt out of your furry friend’s coat.

There’s also a nature trail where you and your pup can explore a more rugged terrain packed with Florida fauna and wildlife.

Lake Baldwin Park has plenty of shades (for humans and dogs), picnic tables, and a convenient pavilion with bathrooms.

Rock Pit Brewing

If there’s anything the people at Rock Pit Brewing love more than beer, it’s probably dogs.

They have a reputation for being an incredibly dog-friendly establishment and for having some of the tastiest beers in Orlando.

Whether you’re sitting indoors or outdoors, your leashed pup can join you for a brew and a bite. Their dog-loving staff will bring your pup water to stay hydrated, and maybe even a special treat.

You won’t have to worry about racing home to get back to your dog; you can take your time and enjoy knowing that your dog is right by your side.

Human guests can enjoy a variety of tasty in-house crafted beer, moonshine, cocktails, hard seltzers, and cider. Pair your drink with some flavorful food from Cecil’s Texas Style Bar-B-Q while you’re there.

Pups Pub Orlando

Pups Pub Orlando is a bar for dogs and dog-lovers alike.

Orlando’s only full liquor sports bar and dog park is the perfect spot to catch a football game, grab a few drinks, and let your pup socialize while you do the same.

There’s plenty of turf indoors and out, air conditioning and fans to keep everyone cool, and Pup Patrollers monitoring play to make sure everyone stays safe and is having fun.

Pups Pub Orlando hosts events like Trivia Tuesday and Yappy Hour.

Celebrating your dog’s birthday or a special milestone? Pups Pub Orlando is the place to throw a Pawty with several packages designed to treat your pooch like the VIP they truly are.

Only humans 21+ are allowed, but dogs of all ages are welcome. There are some guidelines you need to know to keep your pup and everyone else safe, so be sure to check out their website first.

Boxi Park

Lake Nona is a rapidly growing area with a variety of new restaurants, shops, and bars.

Boxi Park is an awesome outdoor venue with food truck-style eateries, bars, a playground, and more. There’s also a large, covered stage area that hosts trivia events, live music, and other productions and celebrations throughout the year.

You can kick back and enjoy the beautiful Florida weather with a drink and something to eat while your pup hangs with you by your side.

When your four-legged friend is getting a little restless, take them over to Barxi Park, an off-leash, fenced dog park for dogs of all sizes.

Boxi Park has even been known to host dog-friendly events like Dog Mom Day, featuring doggy food specials, live music, and other treats for you and your pup.

Lake Eola Farmers Market

For 35 years, the Lake Eola Farmers Market in downtown Orlando has been a popular destination for locals and visitors alike.

It’s a great spot for foodies, craft enthusiasts, and, of course, dog lovers.

Every Sunday morning from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., vendors gather to sell seasonal fresh produce, homemade baked goods, house plants, delicious food, and so much more.

Typically, there are vendors selling treats, toys, and apparel for dogs, too.

While you’re hanging around the Farmers Market, you can take your pup for a stroll along the lake. There is plenty to see (and sniff), from unique birds to beautiful art installations.
